Jess Jones Recreation Therapy - Connecting and creating with all ages and abilities

We focus on the 5 domains of health & wellness through evidence-based practice & person-centered care.

What is recreation therapy?

Therapeutic Recreation (TR) is a good therapy choice that uses functional intervention, education and recreation participation to enable persons with physical, cognitive, emotional and/or social limitations to acquire and/or maintain the skills, knowledge and behaviours that will allow them to enjoy their leisure optimally, function independently with the least amount of assistance and participate as fully as possible in society (Therapeutic Recreation of Ontario, 2022).

We provide TR services to humans of all ages in abilities, including children, youth, adults and seniors with a particular focus on developmental and intellectual disabilities such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome (DS) and Dementia in community, in-home, in-clinic, group and one-to-one!

Join our Therapeutic Recreation (TR) programs for high-quality fitness, group activities, and wellness sessions that promote physical and mental wellbeing. We cater to all skill levels and abilities, with a variety of programs like yoga, Pilates, meditation, and outdoor sports to choose from. Transform your mind, body, and soul, and reap the rewards of a healthy and active lifestyle. Try something new today and achieve your fitness goals with us!
